"We, the Baptist Ministers of Columbus and Vicinity, in accordance with the Will of God as set forth in the Holy Scriptures, do hereby unite in Christian love in order:

              1. To promote unity and perfect fellowship among the brethren;
              2. To reduce (minimize) the stress of the ministry;
              3. To edify the “Body of Christ."
